PARENT CODE OF ETHICS

At Soccer4Life, we are committed to creating a positive, safe, respectful, and development-focused environment for all players, coaches, referees, families, and supporters. Parents and guardians play a critical role in helping us achieve this mission.

By registering my child with Soccer4Life, I agree to uphold the following Parent Code of Ethics and Conduct:

1. SUPPORT GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP

I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support, respect, and encouragement toward all players, coaches, officials, volunteers, and spectators at every game, practice, and event.

2. RESPECT COACHES AND OFFICIALS

I understand that coaches and referees are essential to the development and operation of the program. I will:

• Respect their decisions
• Avoid public criticism
• Address concerns privately and respectfully
• Allow coaches to coach players without sideline interference

 3. ENCOURAGE POSITIVE PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

I will support my child’s growth, development, discipline, teamwork, and love for the game rather than focusing solely on winning, playing time, or statistics.

4. MAINTAIN APPROPRIATE SIDELINE BEHAVIOR

I will not engage in:

• Abusive language
• Threatening behavior
• Harassment
• Unsportsmanlike conduct
• Fighting or confrontational behavior toward anyone involved in Soccer4Life activities

I understand that negative sideline behavior negatively impacts all participants.

5. SUPPORT A SAFE ENVIRONMENT

I will help maintain a safe and healthy environment by:

• Ensuring my child arrives prepared and on time
• Informing coaches of medical conditions or concerns
• Promoting respect, inclusion, and teamwork

6. SOCIAL MEDIA RESPONSIBILITY

I agree to use social media responsibly and will not post harmful, misleading, disrespectful, or negative comments regarding Soccer4Life players, coaches, staff, referees, or families.

7. COMMUNICATION EXPECTATIONS

I understand that concerns regarding coaching decisions, playing time, team selection, or disciplinary matters should be communicated respectfully and at an appropriate time, never during games or immediately following emotionally charged situations.

8. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF CONSEQUENCES

I understand that failure to follow this Parent Code of Ethics may result in:

• Verbal warnings
• Removal from events
• Suspension from Soccer4Life activities
• Removal of participant eligibility if necessary

Soccer4Life reserves the right to enforce these standards to protect the integrity and culture of the organization.
